The Knik 200 is a relatively easy race, which follows the first part of the original Iditarod Trail from Knik via Susitna, Yentna und Skwentna River to the Skwentna Roadhouse, where there is a 6 hr mandatory layover. Although the trail is not challenging, wind and deep snow can be a factor this is also a qualifier for the Quest or Iditarod.
