Indian Summer
Fall
is coming, it is in the air, the leaves start turning after a beautiful
hot summer, annother few days and we will have full Indian Summer.
Our dogs which were on the glacier with Alaska Icefield Expeditions
came home a few days ago and as usual we are extremely happy with
the way they look.
The summer training on snow is defenitely good for them and they are well taken care of up there. As most of my Quest hopefuls are in that bunch I will give them some days off, before starting with fall training at home. Also annother crew of dogs is still doing rides in Skagway and I will go down to change dogs so they all stay equally in training, besides it gives me an excuse to go sailing.
Tang
my good old main leader has 7 little pups from Brownie. I have been
waiting to do this breeding for years. Not too sure if I can run
Tang this winter, the training will show. Already I am preparing
for the Quest. The box with Algyval has arrived, I will get some
of the new dogs " dewclaws " cut of, Cindy is making new
dogblankets and belly warmers, booties are on order, as I do not
want to leave all those things to the last minute as usual. I can`t
wait to really start training, fall which is full of anticipations
is one of my favorite times of the year.
