Trainingmilles

In September we made a total of 230 Km or 150 miles in 14 runs, this leads to a average of 16.4 km per run or 10,7 milles per run. In this time a was for 2 weeks in Germany and the temperatures was cold with snow from 19.9. to 24.9.

In October we made 726 km or 450 miles in 21 runs, this is an average of 34,5 km per run or 21,4 miles per run. Unfortunately from the 9.10. for 2 weeks "out of training" because of my accident. In November I moved the 5. nov to Watson Lake because there was more snow. The first 2 weeks until 14. nov we made a lot of long runs with the Quad and on snow, then 6 days off and 21.,22. Nov. we did the Yellowknife 200 (1. place) afterwards 7 days off.

In December I moved back to Blue Kennels and did a lot of training with Kai, then with Jocelyne (her first race) the 13. and 14. Dec. to the Denail Dash (4.). Then continued the training, then we toke 5 days off before the Solstice 100 (11.) at the 26./27. Dec.. After the Solstice race once more 6 days off because it was so cold, always under -35°C.

In January it was often very cold in the beginning so we did only some Fun-runs before we started from the 10 to 12. jan. at the Copper Basin 300 (6.). After the race the dogs in the race had a week off and the others did touristtours all the 14 days long - so there is a slight difference in the miles.

Kilometer January: 990 km in 11 Runs or 90 km per run
or 618 miles in 11 runs or 56,2 miles per run
Distance for the season:
3675 km in 74 runs or 49,6 km per run
2282 miles in 74 runs or 30,8 miles per run
(the dogs who did not run the CB 300 have 130 km or 81 miles less)

Until the Quest we will only do some runs for fun. I had the intention to do some 50 milles at the weekend but then we got about -45°C in the morning and -30°C during the day. But I'm happy with the miles we did and so I will wait until il will get warmer before we do runs again.
