The mushers will find a lot of things they already knows from the trail behind them. Teams found however usually their Rythme and follow for long stretches the river banks of the Yukon through meadows thicket and firs.
There is only little meaning who arrives first in Pelly Crossing. Many novices can be encouraged to lead the field on this stretch and to tire their dogs prematurely. In Pelly Crossing, it will be interessting to see who has already to drop dogs. Also the first teams will have to abandon here at the latest. None of these who really knows the race will see this as a shame.
