Germany Update
These lines reach you from Kassel in Germany. I have spent the last 2 weeks traveling throughout Europe visiting friends and family, but also giving slide-show presentations about the Yukon Quest and Iditarod.
It has been nice being back in Germany. After a few years of absence I often see things with a different eye than before. The many local cultural difference, from architecture to local foods, is what strikes me the most, things I took for granted while living here. I am getting to meet many german mushers. That is a welcome change, as I can get my "dogfix" visiting their kennels. This is the longest time in 10 years, that I have been without my dogs.
The next week I will go sailing with my parents, something I have been looking forward to for a long time, as I treasure my time with them a lot. Towards the end of the month, I will once again go on tour and do a few more slide shows in the southern part of Germany, before heading back to the Yukon at the beginning of July.
Enjoy the summer, cheers Sebastian
