| You are entitled to your opinion, however after talking to you in Nome I asked Ramey Smyth about Hugh leaving White Mtn. He had a completely different opinion and he was mad that everyone was just standing around waiting for Hugh to fail so that they could gain one more spot. He was parked next to Hugh and saw that all his dogs were fat and eating well. He heard when Hugh called them up that he was asking. In his voice he knew that those dogs had a choice and in the bright sun they didn't really want to go. He said a lot of other teams he would not have helped, like you because he can tell in the mushers voice that the dogs do not have choice. They must go or else. Ramey said he felt good about helping Hugh and that after he did the team was moving good. After paying off his bills this year, helping Hugh is something he will always have. It's so great that you feel better by bad mouthing others. Thanks for yelling at me in Nome about it as well. Looks like you've conned so | |

| I really enjoyed following you and your team both in this years Iditarod and the Yukon Quest. Congradulations on two great races. I am a surfer, who has migrated south for waves from age 28 to now at age 60. It is my interest in dogs that got me following mushing, but you mushers have proved to be an entertaining bunch also. So what now?? Sailing?? Whatever you do I know you'll have fun at it. Congradulations on a great couple of races. Marilyn |
